Just getting started
May. 1st, 2015 12:25 pmWe'll see where this goes but for now, here's a little about me.
I'm in my 40s, I live with my boyfriend (who I love very much), and two cats (who I tolerate. No offense to cat lovers). I work for a small non-profit and I'm liberal-leaning tho I don't particularly love politics. I love to read and though I'm all over the place in my interests, I do particularly enjoy science and science fiction. I like a few current and canceled tv series, such as doctor who, haven, battlestar galactica, firefly, dead like me, broadchurch, the leftovers, six feet under, the returned, archer, and probably a number of others that I can't think of off the top of my head that I'll be shocked that I forgot later. I'm an agnostic (formerly both Catholic and Wiccan), bf is an athiest. I come from a large, devoutly catholic Irish and Italian family and spent 12 years in Catholic school. I am not an outdoorsy person. I enjoy a little outdoorsy time, even hiking through a forest preserve, but there is very little you could say or do to convince me to go camping, and I can not comprehend that there are people who truly find gardening relaxing and enjoyable. I do not have nor do I want to have children. I don't hate kids, I just have no interest in being a parent. bf has two adult children - he loves them very much but they are not close, and their relationship is... complicated. But so is life.
