Lol. I'm the oldest in my family, so I had no older siblings to ask. When I asked my mom, I'm sure I was hoping that I was wrong, but I'm glad she was honest with me. I don't remember how/when my siblings learned/figured it out though. I should ask this year :) Several friends this weekend were posting warnings that "Christmas magic is still real in our house, so don't tell our kids that Santa isn't real!"
I was raised Catholic, and my mom is still a devoted Catholic. My brothers are the kind of Catholics who have ceremonies at church (weddings, baptisms, etc) but don't attend regularly. My sister and I are non-religious. My mom, annoyingly, is one of those people that thinks that saying "Happy Holidays" is terrible because it "erases Christmas". I literally only just learned this a week ago, though it explained why she was annoyed by our card last year that didn't say Christmas on it.
